Why does PERK Digital use Digital Pigeon?
They use Digital Pigeon for the transfer of their digital and audio files, both receiving files from clients and sending completed files back to clients. They have previously found that audio files, although not as large as video files, tend to be too big to attach to emails and fill up storage allowances quickly. And, when you have multiple audio files for multiple clients per week, keeping track of them all and having them in one place is so helpful!
In the past they have also had some issues with files becoming corrupted due to being uploaded and downloaded multiple times from one Dropbox or Google Drive to another.
Digital Pigeon has solved this issue for them as it is just one upload by clients and one download on their end, or vice versa. Furthermore, Digital Pigeon allows them to have one place to go to access all files which their clients send, rather than needing to have access to multiple client Dropbox and Google Drive folders (which was ok in the beginning but, as they grew, it was unsustainable keeping track of logins and different client systems).

PERK Digital’s Founder Ellen Ronalds Keene discusses why Digital Pigeon has delivered (to pardon the pun) for their business: “I have been really happy with it overall, for solving some of the problems we were having before with Dropbox and Google Drive. Personally, my favourite feature is the auto-expiry/auto-archive feature when sending files to clients. That helps me manage our storage better and it also makes it clear to clients when they need to make their own backups of files. It's good accountability on both sides to make sure we're all staying up to date with the boring but important aspect of business - good file management.”
Ellen also really loves the feature which allows PERK Digital to see when clients have seen and/or downloaded files. “This again is helpful from an accountability perspective and also to protect us in case a client ever claims they didn't receive the files - we have that record. That hasn't been needed yet for this reason, though, thankfully.”
